Located in Deptford and servicing the local areas of Lewisham, Greenwich, Brockley and New Cross, The Exhale Collective's home studio is fully equipped with a Reformer. Why Pilates?
Pilates is a system of exercises performed on the mat or using apparatus (For more information on the apparatus, visit our Blog). It is designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, and posture while also enhancing mental awareness.
This method was developed by Joseph Pilates, a German physical trainer, who named his approach "Contrology." It was later renamed 'Pilates' after him. Pilates believed that health equated to happiness.
The benefits of regular Pilates practice are abundant, ranging from improved coordination, strength, and mobility to enhanced mental agility and an overall sense of well-being that can lead to a higher quality of life.
